In the Science4Policy: From Research to Policy Impact workshop, participants will learn how to make policymakers notice, understand and remember their research, how to formulate realistic impact goals, and how to navigate the opportunities and sensitivities of the science–policy interface. The workshop is interactive, practice-oriented, and designed for researchers across disciplines and career stages.
For this specific session, the focus will be on communicating urban research and urban challenges to policy and practice audiences in Brussels and beyond.
Target Audience
This workshop is designed for members of the Brussels Centre for Urban Studies. It is open to participants at different stages of their research trajectory, from those who are just beginning to think about the societal relevance of their work to those who already have concrete communication or policy ambitions. The session welcomes researchers from a wide range of disciplines working on urban issues and challenges.
Workshop Content
This one-day workshop (9h30-16h30) focuses on three dimensions: how to make policymakers notice, understand and remember your work; how to translate research into realistic and actionable recommendations; and how to position yourself effectively in the science–policy arena.
The workshop will be held in English.
