Ana Laura Escalona Diaz is a PhD candidate in the BILD research group who studies the role of embodied literacy in artistic and educational projects in urban settings in both Belgium and Cuba
Ana Laura holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Havana in Cuba. In 2021, she received a Chevening Award from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office of the United Kingdom to pursue her master's degree in Creative Arts in Education at the University of Exeter. Currently, she is developing her PhD research at the VUB on the role of embodiment in artistic and educational projects in urban settings in both Belgium and Cuba
