Line is an urban anthropologist and human geographer specialized in land tenure, participatory urban planning, and affordable housing. She is a postdoctoral researcher and teaching assistant at the Cosmopolis Center for Urban Research in the Department of Geography at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and a lecturer at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. Her work employs Insurgent Participatory Action Research methods grounded in decolonial feminist perspectives to explore the role of communal land tenure in addressing climate change across the Caribbean, with a focus on Puerto Rico and Antigua and Barbuda.

Line collaborates closely with the Caño Martín Peña Land Trust in Puerto Rico on international exchange initiatives, serves on the Board of Directors of the International Center for Community Land Trusts, contributes regularly to the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, and is the co-editor of the book On Common Ground: International Perspectives on the Community Land Trust.

Before pursuing her Ph.D., Line was a Program Manager for the World Habitat Awards at World Habitat (UK) and served as a Director at the International Urban Development Association (The Netherlands). She holds an MA in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology from Leiden University and an MSc in Sociology from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
